A sixth-wicket of 81 runs between Anmolpreet Singh (54 no) and Sagar Kumar (29),steadied thePunjab innings against Delhi in the U-16 cricket tournament for Vijay Merchant Trophy played at St.Stephens Ground.
Batting first,Punjab got early blow when opener Karan Sharma was sent packing on individual score of 4.
Things improved for Punjab after the early loss as the Delhi failed take advantage.
Second-wicket partnership between Manpreet Singh (46) and Prabbjot Singh (31) of 60 runs got Punjab back on track.
After both the in-form batsmen returned to the hut,Anmolpreet took the responsibility and smashed impressive 50 runs.
He was involved in 81-run partnership for the sixth-wicket with Sagar (29).
When stumps were drawn with the Punjabs total reading 201 for 6 and Anmolpreet was unbeaten on 54.

Right-arm leg-spinner Pratyush Singh (2 for 24) was the main successful bowler for Delhi.
