Ambedkar University-Delhi (AUD) will launch a full-time MBA programme from the next academic session. The degree course,to be offered by the universitys Dwarka campus-based School of Business,Public Policy and Entrepreneurship (SBPPSE),will start on July 2012.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit launched the course at a function organised at the India International Centre on Tuesday. The course will address the gap between supply and demand for quality education in management,incorporating elements of public policy and putting greater focus on social entrepreneurship,Dikshit said at the launch.
Dr Kuriakose Mamkoottam,who retired as the Dean of Delhi Universitys Faculty of Mamagement Studies (FMS) last year,has taken over as the Dean of SBPPSE. Our programme will be a little different from a normal MBA. We want to give inputs that other schools dont give, he said.
Candidates applying for the course will be shortlisted based on CAT (Common Aptitude Test),and admissions will be based on the group discussion and interview. The course will induct 42 students in its first year.
