āAccording to the woman, the bike rider reached her pickup spot within 15 minutes of booking the ride. When she reached the Simon Bolivar Marg near Buddha Jayanti Park around 11.45 pm, the bike rider tried to change the route even while looking at the map on his phone,Ā which the woman protested against,ā a police officer said. āSoon, it started raining heavily and the rider asked the woman to get down and take shelter with him under a tree.ā
The woman alleged that since the area was secluded, Jaiveer tried to molest her and started pulling her towards him. āThe ordeal went on for a few minutes after which the woman raised an alarm,ā the officer said. āA man driving a Scorpio noticed her and pulled up near the spot. He began honking the car horn. Following this, the rider fled in his bike. He was arrested in Gurgaon within 12 hours.ā
The car driver offered to help the woman and dropped her at a nearby Metro station at her request. The woman then went to her friendās house in Vasant Kunj. After she narrated the incident, the friendās mother called up the PCR.
