A Senior executive,who was abducted on Wednesday,returned home safe on Saturday morning. Police sources said they believe a ransom was paid to secure his release but the family has so far not released any information.
Sources said Saurabh Jain,a resident of Sector 41 in Noida,was in a drugged state when he reached home.
Police said Jain was freed somewhere near the Muzaffarnagar-Meerut border. According to Surya Nath Singh,SSP,Gautam Budh Nagar,the police backed off after the assailants threatened to kill Jain.
Police had deployed three units at various points where the victim was believed to have been held,but failed to trace the suspects. The abductors threatened to shoot him if they found us following the family. We also wanted him to come home safe. We are now searching for them, an officer said.
Jain was abducted near Goodwill Hospital at Sector 41 around 8.30 pm while he was returning home in his Maruti SX4 car.
