There are over 13,000 polling booths in Delhi. The Delhi election result will be declared on Saturday.
The AAP will launch a web portal on Wednesday where it will upload polling data from all booths in the city, in an attempt to thwart “tampering”, the party said on Tuesday.
A senior party leader said that the leadership wanted to ensure there is no discrepancy in the number of votes polled during the day.
“We want to make sure that a Maharashtra-like situation is not seen in Delhi. If there is a discrepancy in the number of votes polled as per the documents given to the party observers and agents, we will flag it immediately,” he added.
The party has formed a team of volunteers to verify polling booth set-ups, cross-check
presiding officer details, and monitor the Control Unit ID on polling day.
The volunteers have been asked to verify booth details and keep track of the total votes cast.
The volunteers have also been told to monitor the Control Unit ID and battery percentage of electronic voting machines at the end of polling to detect any anomalies.
The presence of party polling agents also has to be recorded to ensure no booth is left unmanned, party officials said.
