AAP Candidate List for Delhi Assembly Election 2025: A party insider said, “The party conducted surveys in each constituency to get people’s feedback on work done in their respective areas. So, tickets are given based on the performance of the candidates."

AAPThe list was finalised during the AAP’s Political Affairs Committee meeting chaired by party convener Arvind Kejriwal.

AAP Candidate List for Delhi Assembly Election 2025: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released its first two lists of 31 candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections, scheduled to be held in February 2025.

The AAP issued its first candidate list for 11 constituencies on November 21 and fielded six turncoats from the BJP and the Congress. In the second list released on Monday (December 9),  13 candidates have been announced, dropping 18 sitting MLAs and moving two others, including former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, to new seats.

More about the candidates:

1. Anil Jha, a former BJP MLA, has replaced sitting MLA Rituraj Jha as the Kirari constituency candidate.

2. Brahm Singh Tanwar, an ex-BJP leader who joined AAP, will contest from Chhatarpur.

3. B B Tyagi, another former BJP leader and two-time councillor will contest from Laxmi Nagar.

4. Somesh Shokeen, former Congress MLA who recently joined AAP, was given a ticket from Matiala.

5. Chaudhry Zubair Ahmad, who is the son of former senior Congress MLA Mateen Ahmad, will contest from Seelampur. He joined the AAP in October.

6. Vir Singh Dhingan, former Congress leader and MLA who joined AAP last week, is the AAP’s pick for Seelampuri.

7. Deepak Singla, who is currently the AAP co-incharge of MCD and in charge of Maharashtra and Goa, is up from Vishwas Nagar.

8. Sarita Singh has got a ticket to contest again from Rohtas Nagar. She was elected from the same seat in 2015 but lost in 2020. She is currently a member of AAP Mahila Shakti.

9. Ram Singh Netaji, a new face, will contest from Badarpur. Netaji joined AAP in 2020. Before that, he was with the BSP and was a two-time Independent MLA.

10. Gaurav Sharma, whose wife is currently a councilor in the area, will constest from Ghonda.

11. Manoj Tyagi, named AAP’s candidate from Karawal Nagar,is a former councillor from Khajuri ward.

12.  Dinesh Bhardwaj: Narela MLA Sharad Kumar Chauhan has been replaced by Dinesh Bharadwaj

13. Surendra Pal Singh Bittu: Timarpur MLA and the party’s chief whip in the assembly, Dilip K Pandey, has been replaced by Surendra Pal Singh Bittu.

14. Mukesh Goel, the leader of the house in the MCD, has been fielded from Adarsh Nagar, replacing Pawan Sharma.

15. Jasbir Karala: In Mundka, Dharampal Lakhra has been replaced by Jasbir Karala.

16. Rakesh Jatav Dharamrakshak is contesting from Mangolpuri seat.

17. Pradeep Mittal has been fielded from Rohini, a constituency the AAP lost to the BJP’s Vijender Gupta in 2020.

18.  Punardeep Sawhney, who replaces his father and MLA Parlad Singh Sawhney from Chandni Chowk

19. Parvesh Ratan, who will contest from Patel Nagar after former Delhi minister Raaj Kumar Anand switched over to the BJP.

20. Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birla has been shifted from Mangolpuri to Madipur as current Madipur MLA Girish Soni has been dropped.

21. Pravin Kumar has been fielded from Janakpuri seat.

22. Bijwasan MLA B S Joon has also been dropped in favour of Surendar Bharadwaj.

23. Joginder Solanki will contest from the Palam seat, replacing sitting MLA Bhavna Gaur.

24. Former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia will contest from Jangpura.

25. Prakash Jarwal being replaced by Prem Kumar Chauhan in Deoli

26. Anjana Parcha replacing Rohit Kumar in Trilokpuri.

27. The son of Krishna Nagar MLA S K Bagga, Vikas Bagga, will now contest the seat.

28. Padma Shri awardee Jitender Singh Shunty, who recently joined AAP, will contest the Shahdara seat after sitting MLA and assembly speaker Ram Niwas Goel announced retirement, citing age.

29. Adil Ahmad Khan will replace sitting MLA Haji Yunus from the Mustafabad seat.

30. Naveen Choudhary will contest from the Gandhi Nagar seat currently held by party MLA Anil Kumar Bajpai.

31. Avadh Ojha, an educator and recent AAP entrant, will fight from Sisodia’s current Patparganj seat.
