A Touch of Glass

It was a sparkling gathering of artists,socialites and industrialists for the launch of a biography on glass artist Hemi Bawa,by writer-curator Alka Pande with an eponymous title. Held at the atrium of the Emporio mall with a background of Harry Winston timepieces,guests descended well past 9pm. Spotted chatting were Dior representative Kalyani Chawla with former model Feroze Gujral,and cigar baron Chetan Seth with Sunjay Kapur of the Sona group. “Hemi Bawa is among the few contemporary artists in India who has evolved with time and established new standards in the field of sculpture,” said Pande. The coffee table book is published by Roli and costs Rs 3,500.
