4 injured after collision between BMW, Creta in Delhi’s Chanakyapuri

A collision between two cars, a BMW and a Creta, near Delhi’s Chanakyapuri on Simon Bolivar Marg left four people injured, the police said. A PCR call was received at 1.27 pm on Friday reporting the accident, with the caller requesting an ambulance for the injured, the police said.

Upon receiving the call, the police arrived at the scene where they found the two vehicles involved in the crash in a damaged condition. The driver of the Creta, identified as 21-year-old Ankit from Raebareli, and the car’s owner, Chand Kubba, 31, from Gurugram, were taken to the RML Hospital for medical examination. Both suffered minor injuries in the accident, the police said.

The BMW was being driven by 18-year-old Vaasu Garg from West Punjabi Bagh. He was accompanied by a passenger, 58-year-old Ram Naresh. They were also taken to the RML Hospital for medical examination, where it was confirmed that neither had sustained serious injuries.

The crash scene was examined by the crime team. Following the investigation, a case was registered based on the statement of Ankit. An FIR was filed under Sections 281 (rash driving) and 125A (causing hurt) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act and further investigations are on.
