3 suspended after rat found in midday meal

Municipal Commissioner KS Mehra suspended three school officials on Saturday for dereliction of duty and ordered an inquiry a day after a dead rat was reportedly found in the midday meal served to students at the MCD school in Kondli.

School inspector for Shahdara South district S P Solanki,school principal Dharamveer Singh Tyagi and assistant teacher and in-charge,midday meals Satpal Singh have been suspended with immediate effect.

The commissioner has also ordered an inquiry by the chief vigilance officer into the matter. The Officer is expected to submit his report in three days.
