Two brothers were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their residence in Bawana,Outer Delhi. Police said that prior to their deaths,their room-mate had thrown acid at them. The brothers have been identified as Dhananjay (22) and Akshay (25). On Saturday night,the brothers were at home in Sector 8,DSIDC in Bawana industrial area. Sanjay,asked them to go outside and fight.
Sanjay pushed them outside the room and locked himself in. The brothers knocked at the door and asked Sanjay to open up. Sanjay reportedly threatened to throw acid on them if they kept fighting. The brothers retorted that they could do anything they pleased in the house. Sanjay opened the door and threw acid at them, a senior police official said.
Police said that after the brothers raised alarm,neighbours called the police. The brothers were rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital,where they were declared dead on arrival. The police said that the amount of the acid used was too little to cause death. It is suspected that the acid went inside the victims mouths,causing their deaths.
Police are waiting for postmortem reports. A case of murder has been registered against Sanjay. He is absconding, Deputy Commissioner of police (Outer),Atul Katiyar said.
