A Delhi court Friday reserved its judgment in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case against former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar related to the killings of Jaswant Singh and his son Tarundeep Singh in Saraswati Vihar on November 1, 1984. The Rouse Avenue court is likely to pass a judgment on November 29.

Kumar is currently lodged in Tihar Jail after he was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Delhi High Court in 2018 in a case related to the killing of five Sikhs at Raj Nagar Part I in Palam Colony on November 1-2, 1984, and the burning down of a gurdwara in Raj Nagar Part II.

In September last year, a Delhi court acquitted Kumar in a case related to the murder of seven persons from the Sikh community in Sultanpuri during the riots.

Three cases are pending against Kumar in Rouse Avenue court, two appeals against his acquittals are pending in the HC, and one appeal against his conviction in one case is pending in the Supreme Court.
