Pizza delivery boy molests,hits woman in Worli

The delivery boy delivered the pizza at 7.45 pm and left after the woman paid. However,he forgot to give chili flakes,and returned a few minutes later. “The woman got irritated at the boy ringing her bell again. An argument followed and the accused pushed her inside and latched the door,” said Dipak Pawar,senior inspector.

He then dragged the victim to the kitchen and molested her,said DCP (Zone 3)Vinayak Deshmukh. “When she resisted,he attacked her with a knife,” he added.

“The woman suffered injuries on her wrists. She,however,managed to resist him. The accused then picked up a pestle and hit her on the head. Seeing the victim collapse,the accused fled,” said Pawar.

The accused worked as a cook at the pizza outlet. After the incident,he went to his employer and said he had to leave for home due to an emergency. “Meanwhile,the woman gained consciousness and raised an alarm. Her neighbours rushed her to hospital,” Pawar said.

“We arrested the accused from Worli Koliwada. He was sent to the Dongri remand home,” he said.

Owner of Chovisam pizza told police that the teen,a school dropout,started working for them 20 days ago. As they were short-staffed on Tuesday,he volunteered to deliver pizzas. “He has confessed to the crime,” said Deshmukh.
