Police said Aleemulla,a resident of Yelandur in Chamarajanagar district, was driving the granite-loaded lorry from Chamarajanagar to Chikkaballapura on October 3 when he was intercepted by Forest Department officials. The vehicle was brought into the office in Malleshwaram, pending further permission. Forest Department officials came in the next day to find the lorry gone and reported the missing vehicle to the police.

A team team that promptly rushed to Chamarajanagar managed to nab the accused and seize the lorry.
