YouTuber booked for spreading false information about Haryana CET
According to the complaint, these videos created confusion among lakhs of candidates in the state.

The Panchkula police has registered an FIR against a YouTuber for allegedly spreading misleading and false information about the Haryana Common Eligibility Test (CET) on social media.
Inspector Rupesh Chaudhary, SHO of Sector-5 police station, said that on August 1, HSSC official Kedar Singh filed a complaint alleging that Prince Lamba, a journalist-anchor of the YouTube channel Haryana News 24, had uploaded two videos on July 26 and 27 regarding the CET examination. The videos carried sensational headlines such as ‘CET Cancelled, Will the Paper be Held Again’ and ‘HSSC’s Big Betrayal of Lakhs of Youth! Uproar in Haryana’”.
According to the complaint, these videos created confusion among lakhs of candidates in the state.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Srishti Gupta said that, considering the seriousness of the matter, a case has been registered against the accused under sections 335 and 353(1)(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and an investigation is underway. The accused has been served a legal notice and further proceedings are in progress.
“We want to make it clear that strict legal action will be taken against anyone spreading misleading information regarding examinations or recruitment processes,” Gupta stated.
