After shows such as Roadies and Dadagiri proved that women are at par with men in intelligence as well as handling physical challenges,UTV Bindass is set to launch a new programme to further establish this. Their next property,Vivel Active Fair-Riders is a six-episode series that will see 11 women on bikes undertake a journey to overcome their wildest fears. On the lines of Historys popular Ice Road Truckers,the untitled show has women riding modified Royal Enfield Classic bikes. They will travel through the highest motor-able pass of the world from Delhi to Khardung La,18,000 feet above sea level. The women,in the age group of 20 to 52 years,belong to a womens-only biker group,Bikerni. The contestants will also be asked to carry out tasks that go beyond daily chores,such as river-rafting,rock climbing,honeybee farming and so on. We hope the journey is challenging enough for the women to leave behind any petty politics.

It looks like the success of the annual Star Parivar Awards is inspiration enough for Colors,which has announced its very own Golden Petal Awards to honour the channels artistes who have managed to create a long lasting impression in the hearts and minds of millions. Planned as a grand celebration,the channel has,however,decided that the judgement should lie in the hands of the viewers. The viewers will get to choose the Most Tez Taraar Personality,Most Damdaar Personality and so on through a voting system by November 19. Not sure about the TRPs,but this will probably get the mobile companies added revenue.
