The Chetan Premani Memorial Inaugural Lecture this year will see a talk and concert on pressing issues plaguing the society. “Contesting Tradition and Modernity: In Search of Her voice and Space” will be conducted by Professor Pankaj K Singh and Meera Nanda today at Multimedia Hall,MCM DAV College,Sector 36-A,Chandigarh,from 10:30 am to 1 pm. This will be followed by Chetan Premani Memorial Performance by Jeeda,run by singers Jagsir Jeeda and Gurdas Gurusar,at Open Air Theatre,Punjab Kala Bhawan,Sector 16-B,Chandigarh,from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Lok Sangeet Mandli Jeeda is a singing group that makes people aware of their rights.
