UT cops apprised of life-saving techniques

The Chandigarh Police on Saturday held a training workshop — “Rescue on Time” — for inspectors

The Chandigarh Police on Saturday held a training workshop — “Rescue on Time” — for inspectors to learn basic life saving techniques. Under the initiative,430 junior level police personnel of PCR and Traffic had already been trained.

The aim of the workshop was to teach the personnel cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first-aid skills,so that they could provide basic medical aid to the victim before being rushed to the hospital. The workshop was held at INSCOL Hospital in Sector 34-A on Saturday.

The first part of the workshop was a theoretical session,where inspectors were given training on first aid tools. The second part of the session saw the police personnel receiving practical lessons on CPR.
