UGC workshop wants women teachers to tap into ‘inner excellence’

The sessions,spread across five days,will be taken up by facilitators,who have participated in Training of the Trainers programme (TOT). Prof Pam Rajput,in her key-note address,urged the women to break not only the glass ceiling but handle the chilly atmosphere that comes their way when making decisions in higher education.

Principal Mani Bedi said,“I hope that by the time this workshop comes to a close both the speakers as well as the listeners will have gained more insight into the current scenario. Let us aim at generating energy towards putting the policies and strategies into action. Certainly the participants will come to fruitful conclusions,which when implemented will improve the lot of our less privileged sisters and daughters and also maintain what we have earned for ourselves.”

Dr Amandeep Kaur,coordinator of the workshop,said the core resource persons for the workshop are from different parts of the academic arena,Dr Manvinder Kaur,Dr Manjit Brar,Professor Sapna Joshi,Dr Meenakshi Paul,Dr Ameer Sultana and Dr Poonam Dhawan and these resource person will deliberate during the period of the workshop.
