To deal with holiday rush,special train to Lucknow

In view of the increasing holiday rush,the Ambala division of Northern Railways has decided to start a “holiday special” train from Chandigarh to Lucknow. The train will have six trips from Chandigarh to Lucknow and another six from Lucknow to Chandigarh.

The dates scheduled for running from Chandigarh are June 17,19,22,24,26 and 29. The train will depart from Chandigarh at 2310 hours and will arrive at Lucknow the next day at 11.49. The dates for Lucknow to Chandigarh are June 18,20,23,25,27 and 30.

It will start from Lucknow at 1635 hours and reach Chandigarh at 5.40 in the morning. The special train has 16 coaches with 150 AC seats. Eight coaches have been reserved for second class sleeper.

The waiting list for this route had gone over 400,following which,the railway authorities decided to start a special train.
