Chill,with solar heat control solutions
After the conventional blinds,curtains and tinted glasses,its solar heat-control solutions that are ruling homes and buildings this summer. Fashioned from aluminum,these help keep out the sun. Thus,reducing the building temperature by about five degrees, tells Nitin Mehta,Director of Mehta Resources Private Limited,local franchisee of Hunter Douglas,as he unveils the latest in the series ceiling systems,facade systems and sun control systems at an architects meet at Taj. These can be used as claddings for the overall building, Mehta talks about the product portfolio Luxalon,3-FORM and the window fashions range. Luxalon includes Aerofoils,Aeroscreens,Aerobiose and louvres,Aerofoils with wing-shaped aluminium panel fins,combines optimal solar effectiveness with a futuristic appearance and can be put on all sides,the Aeroscreen with perforated wing-shaped fins comes with additional light control system, reels Mehta.
With the Toyota car showroom,an upcoming mall in Panchkula and several hotels in the city already displaying these,the need for sun control system becomes important with increased use of glass facades, feels Mehta,who also attributes the increase in use of these aluminium products because of its eco-friendly nature. Almost 90 per cent of the products are manufactured from recyclable aluminium and are 100 per cent recyclable thereafter,thus making aluminium a green metal. This in turn,helps your building earn carbon credits, says Mehta. Besides,aluminum products need less maintenance,have high scrap value,longer life and a high strength quotient as compared to traditional wooden fittings.
