Summer Cool

If you are looking for a summer wardrobe,then here’s an option. Designer duo Pappi and Sonu who run the label ‘Aqua’ are out with their summer collection that makes the most of breezy fabrics and smart styling. “The range brings in tunics,both casual and informal as well as suits and sarees,” lists out Sonu. At hand are tunics in cotton,georgette,mul-mul and more with detailing on the necks,yokes and sleeves. Then there are suits in chanderi,cotton,voiles and more. “You’ll notice a lot of machine as well as hand embroidery in use clubbed with ribbon work,crystals and sequins that we have used. Also a new trend for the season is lace,” adds Sonu. The colour palette makes the most of pastels coordinated with some brighter tones. “Hot pink and aquamarine are the popular colours for this summer,” we hear the two say. While there are trousseau picks as well,the two take pride in their sarees. “This year we are focussing on Bandhej,” chorus the two. Aqua is tucked away in H. No 19 in Sector 10 and the exhibition is on till May 23.
