Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Thursday softened his stand on the six disqualified rebel MLAs suggesting dialogue as a way out of the crisis within the ruling party as he later in the day headed to Delhi for a meeting with the Congress central leadership. Sukhu also hit out at the BJP-led Union government, accusing it of using the official machinery “to destabilize his government”.

The issues were raised and discussed in a Cabinet meeting attended by all ministers, including Vikramaditya Singh who had missed the last two meetings. As per a statement, the Cabinet “said in one voice that the government will complete a full term of five years”. It added that the Cabinet “expressed full faith in the leadership of CM Sukhu and reaffirmed that the council of ministers is united under his leadership”.

“Subah ka bhula agar koi galti karta hai….aur baat-cheet ka rasta nikalta hai to dekha jayega (If someone commits a mistake but makes amends later…we will see if a solution can be worked out through dialogue),” Sukhu said after the meeting.
