Hansraj Cricket Academy,Sector 6,will organise Under-10 and Under-14 First Smt.Kaushalya Devi Memorial League Cum Knockout Basis Cricket Tournament from August 14 at Hansraj Public School cricket ground,Sector 6.

Cricket tourney from August 14
PANCHKULA: Hansraj Cricket Academy,Sector 6,will organise Under-10 and Under-14 First Smt.Kaushalya Devi Memorial League Cum Knockout Basis Cricket Tournament from August 14 at Hansraj Public School cricket ground,Sector 6. The Tournament is being organised in the memory of Late Smt.Kaushalya Devi,social worker for the welfare of women of the tri-city. All the matches of the U-14 tournament shall be held at the Hansraj Public School turf cricket wicket ground and each match will be of 30 overs per innings. Further quesries can be made from Amarjit Kumar at 95010-31290. All the matches shall be played on Saturday,Sunday and gazetted holidays.

SN Vohra hockey tourney from August 22
Chandigarh: The ninth edition of the SN Vohra Memorial Sub-Junior (U-14) Hockey Tournament to be organised by Rock Rovers Hockey Club,will be held from August 22 to August 29. The tournament will be played on knock-out-cum-league basis and teams from Punjab,Haryana,Delhi,Rajasthan,Karnataka and Chandigarh will take part in the event. The tournament is a prize money tournament and there will be prizes for best goalkeeper,full-back,half-back and forward.

Cricket tourney from August 18 for U-16 girls
CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh Women’s Cricket Association (CWCA) will organise Sub-Junior State Women’sCricket Championship for Under-16 for Kailash Bahl Trophy from August 18 to be played at I.S.Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School,Sector 21,Chandigarh. Interested teams should send their entries to Govind (9463961530) or Deepak Sood (9417557601) at I.S.Dev Samaj School,Sector 21,Chandigarh by August 16. Players born on or after 1.1.1995 can take part in the tournament. The association also plans to uplift women’s cricket by opening cricket centers in Chandigarh in the coming months.

Golf camp on anvil
CHANDIGARH: In order to lift women golf,Chandigarh Golf Club will conduct Women’s Golf Camp at Chandigarh Golf Club Academy from August 24 to September 24. The camp will be organised twice a week on every Tuesday and Friday in the month-long period between 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm. The camp is aimed at increasing women participation in golf from the region. The basic fundamentals of the golf swing including grip,aim,alignment,set up,ball position,stance and posture will be taught during the camp.
