In the executive meeting organised by CRAWFED in Sector 21, Chandigarh, the representatives from 102 RWAs of Chandigarh participated.
CRAWFED’S chairman Hitesh Puri welcomed Deputy Commissioner Yadav.
Puri took up the issues related to early resolution of old pending cases related to building violations and penalties.
Chief patron of CRAWFED Maj D P Singh took up the issues of senior citizen security and non-cooperative attitude of them in esampark centres.
Representatives from sectors 11, 13, and 61 presented their area’s difficulties and submitted memorandums to the Deputy Commissioner.
In his address, the DC thanked Puri and CRAWFED, and also assured the quick resolution of minor property-related objections and stated that proceedings are underway to close 600 files for this purpose. He assured the arrangement of a lounge for citizens visiting the Estate Office soon. He also assured the decrease in per day penalty for violations in residential properties after allowing time to get it removed or regularised.
Regarding problems related to the Chandigarh Housing Board and Municipal Corporation, he expressed agreement and said that he would hold meetings with both departments to apprise them of these issues.
Former mayor Anup Gupta, nominated councillors Satinder Singh, Geeta Chauhan, and Mohinder Kaur were also present at the meeting.
