As Sidhu Moosewala’s latest track ‘Lock’ set for release on Thursday, father reiterates demand for justice
Produced by The Kidd Company, ‘Lock’ will be the ninth song to be released since Sidhu Moosewala’s murder on May 29, 2022.

Sidhu Moosewala’s latest song ‘Lock’ is set to release on January 23, marking the slain singer’s first release of the year. Meanwhile, his father Balkaur Singh reacted in the wake of the recent attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan and repeated his demand for justice in his son’s murder.
‘Lock’ will be the ninth track to be released since Moosewala’s murder on May 29, 2022. Fans are already celebrating as the song’s poster has been unveiled, raking up 1.2 million likes on Instagram.
Produced by The Kidd Company, a frequent collaborator behind many of Moosewala’s iconic tracks, the video has been directed by Navkaran Brar. The poster has been shared on the official platforms of both artists, with The Kidd captioning it: “Look around, we are leaders. Whatever we do, we set the example, and others try to follow.”
Reacting in the wake of Thursday’s early morning attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh once again sought justice for his son. Taking to X, he posted on Friday, “In Mumbai, Bollywood actor #SaifAliKhan was attacked. Speaking from Delhi, @ArvindKejriwal blamed the state and central governments, questioning how common citizens can feel safe if celebrities aren’t secure. I support his concerns, but why was he SILENT about my son, @iSidhuMooseWala’s murder_?”
“Despite conspiracy warnings from Intelligence, his party’s Punjab govt reduce my son’s security & publicize it? Why hasn’t the conspiracy been fully uncovered yet? Both the state & central governments failed to protect my son—he deserves justice too,” Balkaur Singh added.
Rapper, lyricist and actor Sidhu Moosewala, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, rose to international fame with his impactful music and continues to leave a lasting impression on fans worldwide.
Since his murder, eight songs have been released posthumously, starting with ‘SYL’ on June 23, 2022. SYL was, however, banned on YouTube in India for allegedly glorifying Sikh militants.
This was followed by ‘Vaar’ on November 8 that year, ‘Mera Na’ on April 7, 2023, ‘Chorni’ on July 7, 2023, ‘Watch Out’ on November 12, 2023, ‘Drippy’ on February 2, 2024, ‘410’ on April 11, 2024, and ‘Attach’ on August 30 last year.
