Sector 48 gets a new park

Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal inaugurated a park in Sector 48.

Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal inaugurated a park in Sector 48 on Sunday. Developed in an area of 1.75 acres,the park has been equipped with play equipment,walking track and a variety of plants.

While inaugurating the park,Bansal said that no place identified for parks will be left vacant.

The concept of neighbourhood parks aims to provide the residents a facility for recreation. I had allocated MPLAD funds for the development of such parks. The community centre is another facility that residents require and the Municipal Corporation has already decided that one such centre will be come up in every sector, he said.

According to Area Councillor Jatinder Bhatia,the park was in a bad shape when it was transferred to the Municipal Corporation from the Administration.
