Satluj Public School-4 records narrow win

Ravi Saini’s (25 and 2 for 21) all-round performance propelled Satluj Public School,Sector 4,Panchkula to a 14-run win over St. Soldier Cricket Academy,Panchkula in a match during U-15 Inter-Academy cricket tournament played at St. Soldier Divine Public School,Sector 16,Panchkula. Batting first,Satluj Public School-4 posted a total of 141 runs for the loss of six wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Harsaroup Singh was the top scorer as he played a fine knock of 40 runs. He was ably assisted by Ravi Saini and Abhishek Thakur who scored 25 and 23 runs,respectively. For the losing side Shivang took three wickets. In replay,St. Soldier Cricket Academy was bundled out for 127 runs. Harpreet Singh and Ravi Saini were the pick of the bowlers for winning team,as they scalped three and two wickets,respectively.

Rowing championship on Feb 13
The Punjab Amateur Rowing Association will organise 2nd Open Punjab State Rowing Championship at Sukhna Lake,Chandiagrh,on February 13 from 8.00 am onwards. The participants are required to bring their domicile certificate of Punjab State which should be atleast six months old. The entries will be accepted on the spot at the Rowing Centre at Sukhna Lake. The competitions will be held in the three-lane course.
