For a band that’s only seven-months-old,these desi rockers’ have raced to fame. In their fight for the top spot in Channel V’s Launch Pad 3,they not only had to elbow out more than 20 of India’s most promising rock bands, but also overcome umpteen number of obstacles including facing abrasive judges like Vishal Dadlani and running semi-clad around a pool.

The final hurdle for the band, however, was an unscripted one. Their lead vocalist,Gaurav Kataria, was afflicted with laryngitis three days before the finals. “I was taking medication but my throat hurt when I sang,” says Kataria. But the Mumbai-based band sailed through with flying colours beating contenders like Faridkot,Cassini’s Division and Blank Noise.

Bassist Jordan Vigas is quick to clear the air about reality shows. “People have this misconception that reality shows are in reality, scripted. But it was not at all like that. Everything was impromptu.” He feels that the best thing Launch Pad 3 did for them was to train them to support the future.

The four-member band’s greatest ambition is to go international and make India proud. “Who knows?” he says. “The world might finally realise that third world countries too can write good music.”
