Road rage: College student assaulted in Kharar

A student of a private nursing college Naginder Singh was assaulted with sharp-edged weapons and baseball bats in Kharar on late Sunday evening.

In his early 20s,the resident of Golden City was on his way towards bus stand on his scooter when a car came from behind and one of the occupants carelessly opened the door on his side,following which he fell down on the busy National Highway-21.

When he asked the car occupants to be careful,four of them alighted from the car and attacked him with a dagger and baseball bats,leaving him grievously injured and profusely bleeding before fleeing away. Some passersby took him to Civil Hospital,where he was admitted for treatment.

The police have lodged a case of assault and voluntarily causing hurt against the assailants under relevant Sections of the IPC. However,no arrests have been made yet.
