Records break in St Stephen’s School massive win

Records were broken when St Stephen's School,Sector 45,recorded a massive 441-run win over Shishu Niketan School.

Records were broken when St Stephen’s School,Sector 45,recorded a massive 441-run win over Shishu Niketan School,Sector 22,in the opening match of the 7th Molly Carver Invitational Cup for high school students,jointly organised by St Stephen’s and DP Azad Cricket Academy,on Wednesday. Udit plundered 232 runs,while Sukhraaj completed a five-wicket haul to canter the team to an easy win.

Earlier,batting first,St Stephen’s made 500 for 3 in just 40 overs. Udit was impressive during his knock of 232 that contained 19 towering sixes and 13 boundaries.

Karan chipped in with 80 runs with the help pf ten boundaries and together with Udit the duo put on 270 runs for the opening wicket in just 27 overs. Then,Gaurav Singh contributed 92 runs with the help of ten boundariesand shared 104 runs for the second wicket with Udit. Shishu Niketan bowlers were wayward and bowled a mammoth 86 extras,out of which 35 were wides and 42 byes.

In reply,Shishu Niketan were bowled out for 59 in just 16 overs,thus losing the match in excess of 400 runs. Sukhraaj impressed everyone with his bowling spell and returned with a five-wicket haul. Jagpreet Singh picked up three wickets. Karan top scored with 12 runs.
