In response to the ongoing rainfall, the Municipal Corporation (MC) workers were seen clearing blocked road gullies in various parts of the city to prevent further water accumulation. Despite these efforts, waterlogging was reported in several areas, including Madhya Marg, where vehicles were seen trapped in standing water late Wednesday evening, causing traffic disruptions and commuter inconvenience.

Adding to the woes, traffic movement from Zirakpur to Chandigarh came to a near standstill due to heavy congestion and waterlogged roads, forcing commuters to endure long delays during peak hours. However, policemen were seen managing the traffic with an umbrella in hand.
