Physically challenged persons should be given special reservation to contest elections,right from the Panchayat to the Lok Sabha.

Physically challenged persons should be given special reservation to contest elections,right from the Panchayat to the Lok Sabha. This was stated by KK Dikshit,president of Rashtriya Viklang Party today. He said that there are more than 10 crore physically challenged persons in the country,who should be represented through their physically challenged representatives.

He added that while there is provision for three per cent reservation to physically challenged persons in jobs,but only .5 per cent of these persons have benefitted.
