PGGCG-42 set to introduce online submission of forms

Students seeking admission to Post Graduate Government College for Girls,Sector 42,this year,will no longer have to stand in long queue to submit their admission forms as the college has introduced an online system of submission of forms for some of the courses.

Students seeking admission to Post Graduate Government College for Girls (PGGCG),Sector 42,this year,will no longer have to stand in long queue to submit their admission forms as the college has introduced an online system of submission of forms for some of the courses.

In the first among city colleges,PGGCG-42 is set to introduce the facility of online submission of forms for MSc Zoology,Botany,Information Technology,Microbial Biotechnology,BSc Biotechnology (hons),PGDCA,BCA,BSc,Biotech (elective),Microbiology (elective),Bio Informatics (elective) and Computer Science (elective).

The sale of prospectus for admission will begin on June 16 and immediately after purchasing the forms,students will be provided individual login IDs and passwords.

“Students will be able to modify their particulars later by using the online service. This facility will be extended to other courses in a phased manner,” Principal Mani Bedi said.

The online submission of admission forms will begin on June 18 and continue till June 30. So far,no other college in the city offers the facility.

The college offers a number of undergraduate and post graduate courses. Among these Computer Science and Functional English and Economics in the Arts stream are the most popular courses being offered by the college.

In BA,the college offers Functional English,Elective English,Police Administration and French as the main subjects. In BSc,Computer Science is one of the main subjects and admission to the courses will be conducted through the manual system. BCom is another popular course offered by the college. The forms for the course will be available online from June 14. Admission to BCom will be conducted by PU through a centrally-operated system.
