With only four police personnel manning the Sector-10 police post,residents are a worried lot these days. The area that has gained notoriety after a gang of dacoits robbed a house nearly ten days ago,is now grappling with insecurity issues.

The police post has four personnel,including two assistant sub-inspectors and two constables to man over 3,000 houses,15 banks and a few jewellery shops.

In case there is any eventuality of the kind that happened last week,we doubt the police will be able to handle it. With the constantly rising crime graph and perennial shortage of police force,it is double whammy for the residents, said BB Singhal,former councillor and a resident of Sector 10.

His views were echoed by Naveen Nain,another resident of Sector 10. A delegation led by Singhal submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police,Maneesh Choudhary. He assured them that the matter will be looked into and dealt with shortly.
