It seems Ranjit Bajajs troubles will take some time to end. Now,a Gurgaon court has issued a non-bailable warrant in a three-year-old assault case against him. Bajaj, son of retired IAS couple B R Bajaj and Rupan Deol Bajaj, had recently been arrested in an attempt to murder case. The hearing on the Gurgaon court warrant is scheduled for March 12.
The case dates back to December 13,2006,when cricketer Yuvraj Singh, his mother Shabnam Singh and Ranjit Bajaj, along with his two gunmen, allegedly assaulted Haryanas former Ranji player Yuvraj Sidharth Mahajan at Yuvrajs DLF City residence in Gurgaon.
Sidharths mother Neelam Mahajan,in her complaint to the police, had alleged that her son was beaten up by hosts and other guests at a birthday party. She had also named Yuvrajs friend Ratinder Sodhi,an executive with an airlines, and Ranjit Bajaj. She claimed Bajaj was accompanied by some armed constables, who,at his directions, assaulted Sidharth, said a police official.
Meanwhile, a district court sent Ranjit Bajaj to 14 days judicial custody in Ambala Jail on Saturday. Son of IAS couple B R Bajaj and Rupen Deol Bajaj was arrested by the Panchkula police on Wednesday and sent to two-day police remand.
