Nigerian held in cyber fraud case

The cyber crime unit of the Himachal Police arrested Nigerian national Jojeph Iyare (42) for allegedly trying to cheat Shimla resident Hem Shanker Sharma. “Iyare promised to get Sharma a job in Maruti Suzuki company and had sent e-mails asking him to deposit cash in an SBI account,” DIG (cyber crime) Satwant Atwal Trivedi said. Iyare was later arrested and a case under different sections of the IPC and I-T Act registered against him at CID’s police station in Shimla.
