New Brew

Now,there’s coffee for each time of the day and night

One never really needs a reason to do coffee. It’s fast becoming the perfect way to kick-start a day and the perfect way to end the night. Realising that coffee happens all day long, the people at Cafe Coffee Day have put together a one of a kind menu that ‘times’ coffee drinks pretty well. “A lot of brainstorming has gone into this one,” the brand’s food and beverage manager,Rhicha Sinha says as she passes on a menu that’s broken up into various sections of the day – early morning, afternoon specials to all-day refreshers and more. “The range is called Shadows and brings in coffees inspired by time,” adds Sinha who explains that just as shadows sway as the sun moves across the sky,CCD times its coffees likewise. “This range has been designed to suit every meal,be it breakfast, lunch or dinner,” you hear her say.

So in comes a ‘Morning Glory’ that packs in a double shot of espresso, sweetened and spiced and on the rocks to a ‘First Light’ that’s rich in caramel sauce, espresso with a swirl of cream, the perfect way to start a day full of energy and feeling coffee fresh. “As far as afternoons go,we recommend a Solar Eclipse which offers cappuccino with spicy tones and chocolate swirls. There’s also the Summer Breeze, that’s coffee on the rocks with milk foam,” briefs Sinha. For those who are looking for all-day refreshers, there’s a ‘Yellow Caramellow’ that brings in coffee with rich caramel sauce and fruity banana flavouring dressed with whipped cream. Also part of that line-up is an ‘All-Day Refresher’ that packs in creamy cold coffee with the crunchiness of cookies. Speaking of coffee drinking trends,Sinha finds everyone now in an experimenting mood. “A few years back,a cappuccino was all one wanted to sip on but now the coffee market is mature and looking for new flavours, tastes and experiences,” feels Sinha who is also working on a diet-coffee menu next that should roll out this summer. But before that she suggests you end your day with a ‘Sunset Brew’ that’s a sinful combination of dark chocolate brownie with the richness of coffee timed as a night dessert.
