Displaying confidence and her control over the tennis ball,youngster Nandini sailed into the second round with an 8-3 win over Smera Mehta in the girls’ U-14 singles’ first round in the Lawn Tennis Tournament being organised by Manav Mangal School and Ideal Tennis Academy in Panchkula on Tuesday.
It was also easy going for Luvya Lamba as the youngster ended the challenge of Virinda Sharma with an easy 8-3 margin to book her berth in the second round of the championship. In another match of the day,Aastha Malhotra had to fight her way hard against Tanisha Indrayan. Malhotra emerged triumphant with a narrow 8-6 margin to advance into the second round in the championship. Making a fine start in the tournament,Ibadat Kaur sailed into the second round with an easy 8-2 win over Adity Dogra while Shreya Kansal ended the challenge of Sukhmani Sahota with a 8-3 margin.
