Musical crackers to add zing to Diwali this year

Customers are preferring crackers from China. The Chinese crackers also include musical crackers,sparkles,shots,spinning wheel and gun crackers but at much cheaper rates. The Chinese musical crackers which has made a new entry to the markets cost Rs 350 for 10 shots,while the Cock brand musical crackers range between Rs 4,000 and Rs 6,500 for a box of 130 and 250 shots respectively.

Shopkeepers claim that the musical crackers are in demand this year. A wholesaler said,“Diwali is still a day away and people rush to buy crackers even in the eleventh hour. Sale will surely increase on Saturday. Most don’t celebrate Diwali without crackers.”

“It’s a three-day festival and initially,we also assume that the demand has decreased but customers end up buying crackers even a day before Diwali,” the trader added.

Apart from musical fire crackers,anar,sky shots,3 pipes,flower pot deluxe are equally in demand. A pack of 10 anars cost Rs 400,sky-shots range between Rs 250 and

Rs 600,while 3 pipes are priced between Rs 300 and

Rs 400 per pack.

‘Prices of LED lights have gone up’

Shopkeepers claim that the demand for LED lights and laser lights have gone up this year. LED lights range between Rs 25 and Rs 900,while laser lights with different designs costs between Rs 500 and Rs 1,300.
