Panjab University has revoked the suspension of Harpreet Singh Multani,a student of the University Institute of Legal Studies.
Multani had been suspended from the department after his alleged involvement in a stabbing episode at PU.
In March,Multani had approached the Syndicate stating that the university should not debar him till the time he is not proven guilty.
After discussion, the Syndicate had referred the matter to a committee based on whose report Panjab University Vice-Chancellor revoked Multanis suspension.
However, the decision to allow Multani to continue studies was subject to certain conditions, including maintaining good behaviour on campus and not indulging in any criminal or unlawful activities inside or outside the campus.
Also, the admission shall be subject to the decision of the FIR registered against him.
Talking to Newsline,Multani said: I have been attending classes regularly. It is wrong to say that I am an outsider or have been banned from entering the campus.
