Madhya Pradesh farmer leader Shiv Kaka joins Haryana protesters near Patiala
The Datta Singhwala-Khanauri border of Haryana witnessed clashes between Haryana police and farmers from Punjab, resulting in injuries to nearly 15 farmers and seven policemen.

Farmers in Haryana received a boost as farmer leader Shiv Kumar Kakka from Madhya Pradesh joined them at the Khanauri border near Patiala, where clashes occurred between Punjab farmers and Haryana police as the former attempted to breach barricades.
However, major farmer bodies in the state, including those associated with Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) and BKU (Chaduni), are not actively participating in the Dilli Chalo call. SKM strongly criticized the government for using excessive state power, employing lathi charges, rubber bullets, tear gas, and mass arrests to hinder the farmers’ march.
Gurnam Singh Chaduni, leader of BKU (Chaduni), expressed the need for farmer bodies giving the Dilli Chalo call to strategize with all farmer bodies nationwide. Chaduni emphasized that the government should avoid using force against farmers and insisted on supporting the demand for minimum support price (MSP) for crops.

The Datta Singhwala-Khanauri border of Haryana witnessed clashes between Haryana police and farmers from Punjab, resulting in injuries to nearly 15 farmers and seven policemen. Despite police efforts, the Punjab farmers continued camping at the border.
Responding to the Dilli Chalo call, farmers from Punjab gathered at the Datta Singhwala border, reaching around 4,000 by 3:30 pm. Despite heavy barricading, they insisted on moving towards Delhi, leading to a confrontation with Haryana police lasting nearly two hours. While Haryana police temporarily halted the movement, around 500 Haryana farmers gathered to support their counterparts, demanding a safe passage.
Additional forces were deployed, and police actions extended to Haryana farmers. Despite the confrontation, both groups of farmers continued to camp at a distance. Farmers also gathered near Punjab’s Teukar border in Kurukshetra district, setting up a langar with heavy police presence and barricading.
