In Chandigarh for a panel discussion on ‘Full-Time Moms: Full-Time Entrepreneurs’,Chahal says that the company had an ambitious initiative as,in India,working from home and flexible hours is a concept that’s yet to get popular. As business owners of a firm focused on small and medium businesses and transforming entrepreneurial businesses,Chahal says they used to hire a lot of women.

“Retaining good people was proving to be a task,with many women quitting or taking frequent breaks for personal reasons,” says Chahal. She mulled over the idea and spoke to women at work,corporates and business houses and realised there was a need for an alternate,flexible plan that works best for both the talented women and companies. “Fleximoms enables ‘workflex readiness’ for corporate India and women professionals managing multiple roles and exploring smarter work options,” explains Chahal.

She now provides access to information and opportunities to work flexible hours,without compromising on career growth or monetary benefits and also helps women acquire new skill sets. “Many young women now want to be entrepreneurs,so we step in to help set up their own business too,” says Chahal,who believes that women should understand the importance of investing in themselves and make a conscious effort to be the best.
