Meena sets up GGSCW win

Buoyed by a fine performance by Meena,who scored two runs,Guru Gobind Singh College for Women,Chandigarh scored a narrow 4-3 win over Guru Nanak Girls College,Ludhiana in a league match of the Panjab University Inter-College Softball Tournament for women being played at Panjab University campus on Thursday.

In another match,Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women,Ludhiana scored an emphatic 8-0 win over Rangarhia Girls College,Ludhiana. Arshi,Navdeep and Amanjeet scored two runs each.

Meanwhile,hosts Panjab University campus won the Panjab University Chess Championship for women with 13.5 points. GGDSD College,Chandigarh secured second spot with 11.5 points,while the third spot was claimed by AS College for Women as they finished with11 points.
