Mayawati in city today

With BSP chief Mayawati scheduled to address a rally in the city on Tuesday,preparations at Sector 25 are on in full swing to welcome her.

Criticising the UT Administration on Monday for not making necessary provisions at the rally ground,BSP candidate Harmohan Dhawan said the ground lacks proper drinking water facility and the stage is unfit for holding the rally. He demanded to erect a better stage for the BSP chief. After inspecting the rally ground,Dhawan said the ground also lacked proper infrastructure like public conveniences.

BSP has renamed the rally ground after Dr Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. A huge pandal has been erected at the rally site and BSP flags are being placed everywhere at the rally ground. Dhawan said that hundreds of party workers from villages,colonies and sector areas will give a warm welcome to Mayawati at the airport,from where she will come straight to the rally ground.

Dhawan also addressed two public rallies at Bapudham Colony and Manimajra on Monday,while his wife Satinder Dhawan led a rally of the BSP’s women wing at Sector 7.
