Man stabbed to death in Mohali

A man was stabbed to death in Jagatpura Colony,Phase XI,Mohali,late on Sunday evening. The deceased,who was in his mid-twenties,has been identified as Lakhwinder,the police said.

Around 9 pm,a passerby spotted Lakhwinder bleeding profusely near the railway track,which passes through the colony. Subsequently,he was rushed to GMCH-32,where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Native of Moradabad district in Uttar Pradesh,Lakhwinder is survived by his wife and two children.

Preliminary investigations indicated a monetary dispute between Lakhwinder and the assailants. A case has been registered.
