Shubhangi Atre and Shaleen Bhanot relate to the characters they play on screen. Starring as as Preeti and Suryakamal,the lead couple in Imagine’s Do Hanson Ka Jodaa,they agree that the concept has been inspired from Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. “But then,look at Amol Palekar,he has always been the simple one,” says Atre. Bhanot feels that Do Hanson has an advantage because of the Rajshri tag. “It is a very rooted family drama. My character doesn’t get to marry the dream guy,but in the process learns that life is entirely opposite to dreams,” says the actress who married her love five years back. Both Atre and Bhanot are hoping that a Rajshri production will open the doors to Bollywood. “I’m from a small town,Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh,am pretty religious and very close to my family,” says Bhanot,who neither parties nor is fashion conscious. Having won Nach Baliye last year and danced for Rahul Mahajan’s sangeet on Imagine,has however been a thrilling experience for him.
