Life is Beautiful!

Now that she is making appearances,Zeenat’s signed a couple of projects,theatre and cinema. “Don’t Know Why,- Na Jaane Kyun is going to come soon,” is all the lady reveals. Still,looking back,at bare-dare films like Satyam Shivam Sundaram,does she ever want to change the course of events? “Not at all! It’s there,part pf cinematic history and I had no choice but to part of that era. I enjoy life now as much as I enjoyed it then,” now this is the part where she exudes with warmth and positivity. Despite the lows and beatings of life,losing friends and family,complex relationships,she prefers to stay afloat. “Loss tells you how short life is,how limited it is. All this happened in front of me,it’s a circle of life. There are curves thrown at every being,you’ve got to deal with it and be happy and joyous. All days are good days.” With so much history,we wonder if she’s like to pen her memoirs…”I have been approached to do a biography,and am thinking about it. I have to set the record straight.”

So much has changed,especially in the world she belonged to once. “Cinema is fast now with technology and corporate sector moving in. Everything’s so quick and experimentative. Film marketing has become aggressive,there are high stakes and lots of money involved. Against all this,I feel our times were simpler,” smiles Zeenat who feels that there should be more scripts for people like her,stories which are ‘age-appropriate’. “Well,it’s a male dominated world,and industry,so women will have to find their place,” Zeenat,is however,happy with the current independent lot of women who are more assertive.

She’ll be there at the jewellery showcase,‘Classic Forever’ at the Lake Club tomorrow,which makes us inquisitive about her style statement. “A woman is entitled to be beautiful,whenever,and wherever you have the opportunity. And for me,fashion is tool of self-expression,a personal style statement. And yes,a great watch and solitaires completes it,” for Zeenat,size zero is no size – enjoy your womanhood,ladies!

Her sons have grown up,and the elder one is already being approached for leading roles. Of course she’s happy with it,but there’s one thing Zeenat never forgets: “Life is not fair,and it does not unfold equally for all of us. You will have your share of good,bad and ugly. Be prepared for anything and deal with it.” Yes ma’am.
