Australian bowler Brett Lee has been roped in as brand ambassador by the Pearls Institute of Hospitality and Management (PIHM).
CEO Captain Sandeep Sandhu,who was present on the occasion,said,Brett has emerged as the finest bowler over the years and has sustained that position by tackling situations with ease and finesse. PIHM has a similar approach. We want our students to pass out as not just graduates but as managers,who are able to tackle difficult and tricky situations effortlessly. We thought that Brett could be a role model for them.
Lee said: Yes,we do think similarly but the real reason that impressed me about the institute was their focused and single-minded approach. The approach with which the students are educated is worth making a note of.
The institute has also collaborated with the HTMI Hotel and Tourism Management Institute,Switzerland,to provide its students with global exposure for better learning of different cultures. Under this collaboration,students will be able to take up half of the duration of their course in Switzerland. This will allow students to experience various situations during their tenure at Pearl, said Captain Sandeep Sandhu.
With the tourism sector having more than five per cent share,it is an essential part of the GDP. The students have a lot of scope in terms of job prospects, added Sandhu,confident about the institutes pedagogy and placement structure.
