It was a day of upsets in the girls' U-12 category as Jennifer Luikham of Haryana caused an upset with an emphatic 4-0,4-0 win over second seed Avishka Gupta to storm into the quarter-final stage in the AITA Talent Series Tournament being played at CLTA courts on Tuesday. Luikham claimed the first set with an one-sided margin of 4-0 before winning the second set with an identical margin to book a berth in the quarter-final stage. In another match in the same category,Abhisha Jindal of Chandigarh scored a 4-1,4-2 win over Hanshika of Chandigarh to storm into the quarter-final stage. Jindal claimed the first set with a 4-1 margin before grabbing the second set with a 4-2 margin. It was easy going for Seerat Pannu of Punjab she rallies to a 4-2,4-0 win over Arzoo Chaudhary to move into the quarter-final stage. Pannu claimed the first set with a 4-0 margin before claiming the second set with a 4-0 margin. Rubani Ahluwalia of Chandigarh also booked his place in the quarter-final stage with a 4-2,4-2 win over Neelanchal Gupta of Chandigarh. In the girls' U-16 category,Nikita of Chandigarh rallied into the quarter-final stage with a 6-2,6-3 win over Maitry Phukan of Assam.
