It’s already house full at hostels of city’s colleges

“We have closed down the hostel admissions as all the seats have already been filled. A majority of students from the Arts stream have occupied the hostel seats. A second counselling for hostel admissions will be held in case of any de-reservation of hostel seats,” says Achila Dogra,principal of PGGCG-11.

Even the hostel seats are filled on the first two days of admissions at MCM DAV College for Women,Sector 36. As many as 910 seats out of a total of 940 hostel seats were occupied on the first day of the admissions itself.

The college principal,Dr Puneet Bedi,thanked the parents for reposing their faith in the college. DAV College,Sector 10 continues to collect applications for the hostel admissions and will probably display the merit list by this week. The college offers nearly 400 seats for girls and 200 for boys in the hostels.

Similarly PGGC,Sector 11 also continues the process of hostel admissions. 40 hostel seats have been occupied by students of the arts stream. Nine seats have been allocated to students of non-medical stream and two seats have been allocated to students of medical stream. Likewise,PGGCG,Sector 42 provides 265 hostel seats against which it has received nearly 700 hostel applications. Nearly,100 seats are allocated to newcomers.
